Final Beautiful Question
For a question to be considered beautiful, it must ask the why, what and what if questions, since those questions allow for answers to change and get more information over time. For the question being asked to be given the correct answer, one must think of how one personally might answer the question; even the personal answers differ from person to person, they all come together in some sort of way in the end. Another thing to consider is to not ask too many follow up questions with your main beautiful question; allow your question to create its own follow up question. For this to occur, one must use inclusive language, to get more broad answers.
The origin of my first beautiful question came from my love and passion for art; such question derived from the hope I have that art will be appreciated once again as it was back in the day. Though my first question/s were too long to share, I will share my revised question, a question that was influenced by three class rotations that I went through in LDR: How can art help us in the modern world?
My now new beautiful question heavily relates to rotation and lesson taught by Professor Smith. One of those reasons is because it relates to the theme of art; but the comparisons are more than skin deep. The idea of art in the modern world relates to her lesson’s main idea which was art history; because for one, one cannot have a present or future idea if there is no past involved, secondly because it deals with modern ideas, forms and concepts of art, one of those being logos and commercials- a huge topic spoken about during professors Smith’s lecture. The modern art forms, such as logos are important because it is more than a simple illustration that is stamped in majority of the products in the world, but rather is a symbol for a company and the overall product- their history and morals. A logo can speak a thousand words, every detail of its composition is important and has a major impact on society, either good or bad that is up to the person.
The second rotation that heavily influenced and related to my beautiful question was the religious studies session with Kristyn Sessions. The religious studies rotation focused on how religious figures are depicted and how that changes people’s perspectives; how paintings of God or Gods can affect the way in which religion is seen or whom it can be relatable to. This relates to my beautiful question because it shows how art can cause an influence on the way people perceive certain ideas; it shows that art is more than just aesthetics, but rather storytelling and personal. Such rotation also influenced my question because we talked about how past painting and depictions of God or Gods can affect society today in the modern world.
Since the beginnings of time, art became a way to influence people by influencing what they think, believe and the information they receive about a certain idea. This shows just how important art can be, how it can have such an important impact of a society that is connected yet disconnected at the same time. Art is important to the idea of leadership because it influences, and a leader must influence those around them, for them to follow a certain idea or action, for we live in a world that is visually driven.
